Linking Together: WAAI’s Rocket Ride on LinkedIn
Company Page Shows 942.73% Growth in 3 Months
AI (artificial intelligence) has emerged as a profound force shaping industries and workflows. For women in today’s workforce, leveraging AI presents both an opportunity and a challenge. Recognizing this pivotal moment, WAAI (Women Applying AI) launched its official LinkedIn Company page mid-July this year. Just three months since its inception, it has garnered an impressive 877 followers, a testament to the community’s engagement and the growing need for supportive networks focused on AI education.
Understanding Our Growth Trajectory
WAAI’s LinkedIn growth story is remarkable, not just in numbers but in the passionate community it represents. The journey can be observed through a clear growth curve:

The WAAI LinkedIn Company Page has had tremendous growth of 942.73% in the period between July 28 – September 23, 2025.
The launch of this page coincided with a growing interest among women in leveraging AI in their careers. The uptick in followers illustrates a community eager to engage with content and participate in conversations surrounding AI in their professional worlds.
“When you have this type of growth, it’s showing you that there is an unmet need in the marketplace,” observes marketing professional Brittany Dent, Boston entrepreneur, US Head of Marketing at Attensi, and a Founding Member of WAAI. “The gravitas of this group of women, at this size and initial stage, shows the undeniable impact that we’re already having, and that it will continue and be widespread.”
“Our members have shown incredible enthusiasm for engaging with our content,” says Melissa Daley, CMO of ChitChatDigital, a marketing strategy and content firm, and also a Founding Member of WAAI. “They’re so great about Liking, Commenting and Sharing, and that has scaled the numbers of Followers to a degree you rarely see in such a short period of time, particularly given that we’re in the period before our Official Launch. And, we’re a nonprofit!” (The WAAI Official Launch is September 26th at the Microsoft NERD Center in Cambridge, MA).
“Women are seeking ways to navigate this technological disruption, rather than being sidelined, so you’re seeing communities like this one being created,” shares Dr. Patti Fletcher, gender equity expert, leadership futurist, author of Disrupters: Success Strategies from Women Who Break the Mold, advisor, keynote speaker, and Founding Member & Spokesperson for WAAI. “WAAI has a ‘come as you are’ approach, where you don’t have to prove why you’re in the room. It’s a very supportive environment.”
Disruption as a Gateway to New Possibilities
The rapid growth of the LinkedIn page reflects a larger movement in which women are stepping forward to claim their space within the AI conversation. The hands-on focus of WAAI enables members to gain real skills that can be applied immediately, creating an invaluable resource for navigating today’s complex AI landscape.
Planned in-person and online programming includes:
- Skill-Building Workshops to learn by doing, and gain actionable skills, shared resources and new connections
- Case-Based Workshops to solve real-world problems with AI and engage in collaborative problem-solving, exposure to different AI applications, cross-industry insight, and spark creative problem-solving
- Ask Me Anything (“AMA”) Sessions with AI Leaders
- Roundtables & Small Group Discussions
“Our skills-based programs emphasize learning by doing. Every program is developed to provide actionable tools, skills and concepts that can be used immediately. We show specific use cases that inspire women to see how AI can be applied to their work and life. The approach is practical, not theoretical,” says Pam Boiros, Founder of Bridge Marketing Advisors, and part of the Leadership Team of WAAI.
A Reflection of a Movement
WAAI’s LinkedIn page growth is more than just an interesting statistic; it’s a reflection of a collective movement towards harnessing AI’s vast potential. WAAI stands at the forefront of an exciting era, ready to provide women with resources to help them navigate and confidently lead in the age of AI.
